Time to catch up on some of the things we have been meaning to do, but were too busy to get around to.

So here are a few tips to make use of your time away from work.

1. Tidy your cupboards. Organization is the key to leading a hassle-free life. Sort through your stuff and toss the junk and things you don’t use. Add extra shelves or hooks to your cupboard get the wood cleaned and polished and now just like that you have brand new looking storage spaces.

2. Do a round maintenance around the house. Squeaky taps? Switching light bulbs? Fix the tiny things that have been bothering you from a while, like those loose bolts and doors that don’t close properly.

3. If you’re tired of staring at your boring crème/beige walls, go get yourself some bright or pastel paints and explore away. Adding colours to your home brings out your personality and often serves as a better workspace.

4. Invest in plants, they not only elevate your home, they also make it lively and homely. Taking care of plants will give you a sense of responsibility. So go ahead grow a bunch of vegetables and herbs and nurture them with love and care.

5. Invest in home decors, beautiful paintings with the right colour palettes, tiny fridge magnets you’ve stumbled across from your little visits to Italy, bring all of them out, showcase them.

If you have the right skillset and access to the needed materials, then you could undertake bigger tasks, such as laying new tiles, fixing the roof, installing new door handles and locks, improving the outdoor areas with new paving, barbecue, perhaps even building a new garden shed, or a dog house for your pet.
